La Distraction translates to “The Distraction,” and showcases a rare 19th century French game card in our founder’s extensive antique paper collection. The original piece was hand-colored by an artisan (most likely a woman) over 100 years ago. She completed her task with skill and flair, using a vibrant color palette that we can still enjoy today.

The back of the postcard is divided, with space for your personal message, as well as areas for a standard postcard stamp and address. The uncoated paper is a pleasure to write upon with any type of ink.

While designed as postcards, you can use these small treasures in any way you please. Tuck one in an envelope for more privacy, try one as a gift tag, frame one as a delightful work of art, or use one as the perfect bookmark.
